About Libero

Libero provides professional publishing services to authors who are independently publishing their own books. Libero is not the publisher of your work and does not acquire any rights in your manuscript.

Submitting a quotation request does not create any contractual obligation on either party.

Eligibility

By submitting a quotation request, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the legal authority to act on behalf of the copyright owner or rights holder of the work.

Requesting a Quote

Our quotations are provided as estimates based on the information you supply.

All quotations:

• are valid for 30 days from the date issued;
• are subject to review of your manuscript and supporting materials;
• may change if the manuscript differs from the information originally supplied, including but not limited to word count, page count, image quantity, complexity or formatting.

Our Services

Libero provides professional publishing support services including editorial, production and selected marketing services.

Libero does not publish your book and is not responsible for publishing, distributing or selling your work.

Copyright and Permissions

You retain full ownership of your copyright at all times.

You confirm that you either own or have obtained all necessary permissions for any material supplied to us, including text, photographs, illustrations, artwork, extracts, lyrics, quotations or any other third-party content.

You agree to indemnify Troubador Publishing Limited against any claims arising from your failure to obtain the necessary permissions.

Payment

No work will commence until payment has been received for the relevant service.

Services will generally be invoiced individually as they are scheduled to begin rather than as a single upfront payment.

Separate service agreements and terms may apply once you decide to proceed with any quoted services.

Confidentiality

Your manuscript and supporting materials will be treated as confidential.

They will only be accessed by members of the Troubador team involved in providing the requested services.

Your manuscript will not be used to train artificial intelligence models or shared with third parties except where necessary to deliver the requested services and with appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Timescales

Any delivery times discussed before work begins are estimates only.

Final schedules will be agreed when individual services commence and may depend upon author responses, revisions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Withdrawal of Quote Requests

You may withdraw your quotation request at any time before accepting a quotation.

Libero also reserves the right to decline to provide a quotation or services where:

• the manuscript or supplied material appears to infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights;
• the material appears to be unlawful, defamatory or otherwise exposes Libero to legal or reputational risk;
• the information supplied is materially inaccurate;
• the requested work falls outside the services Libero offers; or
• for any other reasonable commercial reason.

Limitation of Liability

Libero's liability in relation to a quotation request is limited to the provision of information regarding potential services.

Libero shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, sales, business opportunities or publishing outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your quotation request will apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
